Measured Building Survey – Kilburn, North London
Site Details: Terraced residential property
Service: Floor Plans, Elevations, Sections and Topographical Survey
Purpose of Survey: Refurbishment and extension to rear
Timescale and Resources: 2.5 days
Output: DWG and PDF
Description: This is a typical suburban London house in an up and coming area. At the time the house was in a poor state of repair and in use as multiple occupancy let property to students, thankfully the house still retained a lot of the original Edwardian features. A family had bought the house with the intention of entirely refurbishing it and extending the rear to create a large open plan kitchen.
We were instructed by their architects to deliver a topographical survey of the front and rear, all elevations (including adjacent properties either side), floor plans and sections. The survey plans were used for planning submission and the architects use to visualise the refurbishment and the eventual creation of construction drawings. We carried out the survey with a total station both externally and partially internally, a tape measure and laser disto measure was also used internally. The survey was completed in a day and delivered to the client a further two days later.
The survey was delivered in DWG and PDF.
