Things Are Looking Up!

A Very Good Year…

Things Are Looking Up! kevin.1

Hello! 2013 has been an excellent year so far. We have had the pleasure of working with some great clients on some great projects, surveying everything from derelict Victorian warehouses to large greenfield sites and to the swanky offices of 30 St Mary’s Axe (aka The Gherkin).
It seems at last that the ‘gloom’ is starting to lift and that ‘UK Plc’ seems to be on the way to a sustained recovery. In our profession of surveying we are instructed pretty much from day one in a construction project and we have certainly been aware of increased activity in the last 6 months. We welcome you to Aimcon Surveys’ first newsletter, I hope you find it both informative and fun.

Kevin.

Blog Time – Disto Is 20 Years Old!

Leica Geosystems launched the first hand-held distance meter in 1993. A lot like mobile phones they started off being the size of a breeze block but then became smaller and smaller until it was practically pointless being so small. I think we can all agree the Disto is one of the greatest inventions of all time, well unless pulling a tape measure across a crowded and cluttered room is your idea of fun! For a look at all the Disto’s over the years please follow this link – Success Story of Leica DISTO
